A New Milestone: Our App's First Customer!
Plus how I tweaked last week's workouts to make things work
Hi friends,
I hope you’ve been well!
As usual, a quick update on my workout routine before I share my other pursuits:
Last week was week two of my new season, but my mileage dropped from week one’s 17km to a meagre 13km.
I had planned to do 20km, but over the weekend, I missed two easy runs.
Life happens.
So instead of doing two runs that could take more than an hour in total, I optimised my schedule and went for a quick 1.5km time trial instead.
My timing wasn’t fast, but the first hard workout for this training block felt more manageable than expected.
Perhaps I should have done a 3km time trial, but in line with what I advise my clients, I’d rather:
put health before fitness
err on the side of caution
That said, my focus for last week was also somewhere else.
I had been gathering feedback on ALLWIN’s latest pivot; we recently went from a coaching platform to one that rewards trainers for keeping up with exercise science.
And last week, we got our first paying customer!
He’s none other than an old friend, Evan Button.
Some of you might remember him from his Core Collective days.
He has his own gym now and signed up for ALLWIN’s educational content last week.
More about Evan in the video above.
If you have friends who might find his services beneficial, feel free to refer them his way!
As for what ALLWIN is about, feel free to check it out yourself here.
It’s still entirely free now because we have not enforced any payment gateway.
But, in gist, we aim to match those looking for personal training with the right trainers.
For example, if you’re looking for a trainer to help you with general strength and you also play tennis, ALLWIN helps you find trainers who have been consistently up to date with the research in those topics.
You can then make your selection based on trials with the pool of trainers that we narrowed down.
The same process applies when you’re looking for physios too.
That way, you can better pick professionals that understand your needs.
We’re still building the features that help you filter through trainers, but if you’ll like to provide us with any feedback or guidance, feel free to contact me for a chat 🙂
Lastly, for those who missed Core Collective Sentosa’s launch, you can now relieve bits of the action through my vlog.
Let me know if you’ll like to take up the offer in the video (three free PT sessions), otherwise, till next time, take care!
Kindest,
Jing
