1. Tendon Healing 101
I have been treating many tendon injury cases, usually recommending isometrics because it is a missing rehab element.
That said, other exercise modalities are essential too.
Hence, I thought it would be helpful to share the penultimate slide of the following Instagram post. It summarises how each exercise type improves tendon health.
2. Why Blood Flow Restriction Works
I have started a mini-series of articles on blood flow restriction training because many of my personal training clients have asked why we are doing it.
In my previous article, I covered eight advantages of BFR training.
In my latest piece, I discuss three of the many mechanisms that lead to these advantages.
3. See Strength Gains in Just 20 Min Per Week
I came across a paper that highlighted strength gains in the study participants over 7 years, with only 20 minutes per week.
Jackson Fyfe, PhD, who created the illustration above, wrote a succinct summary of the research in his LinkedIn post; check it out here.
My experience mirrors the research findings, and it’s partly why I’ve been recommending once-per-week personal training to my clients.
